Filter solution phosphoric acid / scrubber exit droplet separators sector - Agriculture - Crop Cultivation
Process Information: Most Air Scrubbers treating gas emissions to atmosphere in Phosphoric Fertiliser plants (MAP, DAP, NPK etc) have a Chevron Vane type or a mesh type droplet separator on the exit to catch liquid droplets. These Chevron Vanes and mesh pads can block, and need replacing from time to time.

‘Becovane’ Chevron Vane separators are available in a variety of materials (metal and plastic) and styles (STV and DPV ; Horizontal and Vertical)
The performance of Chevron Vanes is a balance of efficiency (emissions control) and pressure loss (energy), and the optimum size and design is crucial to good operation and compliant emission standards. We are able to offer these filters either as direct replacements in existing scrubbers, or as upgrade improvements to meet lower pollution control limits or to allow de-bottlenecking of plant capacity.
- BlueFil® structured mesh pads are made in thermoplastic materials PP, ETFE and PFA, with individual mesh styles & temperature resistance information as shown in Table 1 below, and some standard meshpad combinations & performance data as shown in Table 2 below.
- BlueFil® is very resistant to blockage due to it’s very open void pyramidic structure. That allows liquid and captured solids to flow away easily. Easy to wash & re-use also.
- BlueFil® is more efficient against smaller droplet sizes than a Chevron Vane, but without the increased risk of blockage in most applications.
