soil enhancement Applications

  • Fertilizers boosting soil productivity for agriculture sector

The principle fertilisers used to boost soil productivity are phosphate based. Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP) and Diammonium phosphate (DAP) are used for their ability to deliver Nitrogen and Phosphorus (both macronutrients) to soil as solid fertilisers. Phosphate rock is the raw material for production and is extracted from large deposits across Florida, the Southern Mediterranean into the Middle East (namely Morocco and Saudi Arabia) and on into Russia and China. To this rock, sulfuric acid is added producing phosphoric acid. This acid is then reacted with ammonia and elemental sulfur producing a sulfur enhanced fertiliser. During this process, the dust produced can potentially reach explosive levels.

  • Salt OUT The solution to your salinity issues!

Salt Out™ reduces or eliminates salinity stress in plant growth by sequestering sodium and chloride ions from penetrating plant root tissues. These conditions usually occur due to the buildup of salts as a result of fertilizer applications, irrigating with reclaimed, well or pond water, as well as salts deposited by ocean mist. Salt Out™ coats the plant roots disallowing the update of the salts thereby enhancing nutrient uptake resulting in rapid improvement and stabilization of turf color. Salt Out™ also contains a surfactant to ensure proper soil penetration and even moisture distribution throughout the root zone. It reduces water usage by 20% or greater.

  • Super Absorbent Water Management Agrotextiles

Our Agrotas range of Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF) and converted products allow you to achieve optimum nurturing and growth conditions whilst effectively reducing overall water usage. Our unique fibrous technology creates new possibilities for the development of nonwoven fabrics that can be used as both temporary and long-term solutions, from hanging basket liners to commercial scale projects, even in areas of low water availability. Such fabrics are designed to achieve highly controlled delivery of water and nutrients to root systems, whilst significantly reducing evaporative loss and water seepage. SAF can also be dosed directly to the soil. Advantages: •Ease of handling and installation •Wide range of formats •Suitable for short-and long-term use •Reduced re-watering periods •Enhanced establishment times •Accurate, consistent nutrient distribution
