Liquid/solid separation solutions for the fruit processing industry - Manufacturing, Other
This project installed a model SAF250 Suspended Air Flotation (SAFƒ) treatment system for a California food processing customer. They contacted Heron Innovators for a system to be used for wastewater pretreatment. At Heron Innovators, we build mechanically and electrically reliable systems, and provide installation support which comprehensively meets our customer’s operational needs. The system is ideal for food processing wastewater pretreatment for reducing TSS and BOD/COD in discharges to sewers.
Applications Overview
Designed for efficient particle and liquid separation, the system is made of 304 stainless steel, PVC, and polyurethane. It features a 3,500 gallon stainless steel conditioning tank measuring 8 feet in diameter and 10 feet in height, a Model CF250 ClearFloater™ flotation tank, a Model F50 SAF® generator, and a Model DWC3012 dewatering conveyor. The SAF® system is designed to achieve efficient flotation of solids in wastewater, and was delivered within a 16-week turnaround time, including installation. It operates on a simple automatic startup and shutdown control sequence. Full project details, including system unit dimensions, are listed below. Contact Heron Innovators to learn more.
