A numerical structural-acoustic approach to analysis of interior booming noise and noise reduction in an all-terrain tractor cabin
The booming noise in an all-terrain tractor cabin is studied in this research via a numerical structural-acoustic approach. Cavity acoustic resonances of the cabin are evaluated, and the acoustic resonant frequencies are identified and quantified in the research. The noise level inside the cabin is determined, and the frequencies characterised by peak noise levels within the booming noise frequency range are identified. The influences of sound absorption, structural damping, added mass and structural stiffener on the acoustic response of the cabin are quantified. A discussion on the measures to control the booming noise inside the cabin is also provided.
