The biogas plant in Casaletto Ceredano (Italy)
A cutting-edge plant powered only by slurry The plant owned by the management company Pozzali Società Agricola s.r.l. is the second of EnviTec’s plants in Italy. It became operational in October 2010. The plant, which uses cutting-edge technology, consists of a single digester with a net volume of about 5,100 cubic metres. It is powered by around 50,000 cubic metres of slurry a year from the farm’s 25,000 pigs. Small quantities of cornflour and feed residues are added to the input material (about 425 tons/year) to improve the plant’s energy yield.
