Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance Farm Day Out
Mark your diary for this event!
AFSA (Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance) is hosting our inaugural Farm Day Out on the 17th of March at Jonai Farms (Eganstown, Vic), with a stellar line up of Australian bands, local food, booze, and mineral water, and the launch of our revolutionary book: Farming Democracy: Radically transforming the food system from the ground up!
Farm Day Out is intended as our major bi-annual fundraiser that brings music, food, and politics together in a fun, delicious format. We hope that up to 1000 attendees will turn up to enjoy Australian musicians Freya Josephine Hollick, Sal Kimber, and Sean McMahon, local food, and the launch of the book, with speeches from many of the inspiring farmers who wrote it.
And we need your help to get the word out! As we all watch in horror as our rivers die from mismanagement and greed that is built into industrial capitalist agriculture, there has never been a more pressing time to work towards agroecological futures.
We would really appreciate your help in promoting the event by sharing the Eventbrite and encouraging people to come along for a great day for a great cause. And of course we hope to see many of you here for the event, so that those of us in the engine room for radical transformation can catch up to some tunes and raise a toast to the future we’re trying to grow!
