Project Description
In partnership with the NC Arboretum and NC Cooperative Extension Service, BRAE provided the system design and rainwater technologies used to reduce rooftop runoff in the new Bonsai exhibit. Stored rainwater is used for hose bib irrigation in the exhibit demonstrating conservation.
BRAE supplied a Complete Cottage 2,200 with two 1,100 gallons black polyethylene (PE) cisterns, First Flush Diverter and an ECOS CPS pump system with demand activated water supply. Overflow is infiltrated in a Matrix D-RainTank® infiltration system.
