Case study - University of Georgia at Athens performing and visual arts center
Project: University of Georgia at Athens Performing and Visual Arts Center
Location: Athens, GA
Application: Irrigation, Water Quality Protection
System(s): 33,000 Gallon Tank and Rainset
Project Description
In cooperation with the University of Georgia at Athens, BRAE provided the system design and related rainwater technologies used to reduce rooftop runoff and irrigate the grounds at the new Performing and Visual Arts Center.
The system integrates a CMP tank with a 33,000 gallon capacity, catch basin inlet filtration and rainset control station designed to deliver 50 GPM of filtered rainwater to a drip irrigation system. The CMP tank type was chosen to meet the burial depth requirements needed to interface with existing site drainage pipe invert elevations.
