LA NIVELLE, France: Grand Systeme–Major agricultural pollution (unstable turbidity, pesticides and micro-organisms) and variation in water demand during the summer period.

0
La Nivelle Ultrafiltration plant in the Basque country meets several constraints.
The first is to provide a constant supply to the towns of Saint Jean de Luz, Ciboure and Urrugne, with the population varying from 20,000 to 100,000 inhabitants for a few months of the year.
The second constraint is related to the agricultural and livestock farming activities. The quality of the raw water is not stable in terms of turbidity, pesticide levels, and micro-organisms.
