Optimisation of Nozzle Arrangements on Descaling Headers
The demand for improved product quality and increased productivity has focussed attention on the need for more efficient systems of hydraulic descaling. Nozzle characterisitics have been investigated and test procedures developed to measure spray patterns and impact. Improved nozzle characteristics and an optimization of the spray header design result in higher efficiency of the complete system. There are also important operational benefits saving energy and improving product quality which are the objectives when a descaling header is designed. The nozzle manufacturer must have detailed knowledge of the performance of the nozzles under operation conditions and the system design.
