Optimization of SPE Cleanup Method for the Analysis of Nitroimidazoles in Egg and Milk Samples
Courtesy of Sigma-Aldrich
In this application, Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIP) SPE methodology was applied to the analysis of nitroimidazoles in eggs. We have evaluated the method and further improved the solid phase extraction protocol to achieve better sample cleanliness and to increase the recoveries of the analytes. We have applied the improved protocol to the analysis of nitroimidazoles in spiked eggs and milk samples. The method performance was evaluated by quantitation of recoveries and ionization effects which will be discussed.
