Pneumatic valves and electric valves are common valves. What are their advantages and disadvantages of each, as well as the applicable occasions and different environment? Here is a simple analysis.
1. The motorized valve is powered by a motor and the pneumatic valve is powered by compressed air. Electric valve has the advantage of good effect on the liquid medium and large diameter gas, free from the impact of the climate, and air pressure is not affected by the pressure. Its disadvantage is the high cost, and its effect is not good in the humid environment. Pneumatic valve has the advantage of gas medium and small diameter liquid effect, low cost and easy maintenance. Its disadvantage is that it is affected by the pressure fluctuation of air pressure. It is susceptible to air pressure and moisture in winter in the north, causing the drive to partially freeze and not operate.
2. Under normal circumstances, the pneumatic valve is faster than the electric valve. Electric valves are hand and electric dual-use. The pneumatic valves are hand and gas dual-use. Therefore, the price is relatively high.
3. Electric valves are used for some large pipe diameters because pneumatic valves are difficult to use in this situation. However, the stability of the electric valve is not as good as the pneumatic valve. It's slow switching, and latch phenomenon appears after long-term operation. The switching speed of pneumatic valve is fast with high precision, but it requires a stable gas source.
