Thailand: Successful intensive shrimp farming Thailand

Courtesy of Aeration Industries International (AII)

Historically, Thailand is one of the leading shrimp producing countries in the world. And, growing numbers of Thai farmers depend on AIRE-O2® aeration for water quality management. This major Penaeus monodon farm chose the AIRE-O2® aerators, 'for good oxygen transfer and horizontal flow for better circulation'.

The manager reported, 'Daily operation of the farm is smoother due to easy installation and maintenance.' Stocking densities are 30 m 2with survival rates of 70 to 80 per cent. Two harvests a year produce 10,000 kilograms per hectare. A good accomplishment for this new and growing farm.

Good dissolved oxygen levels and better circulation are reasons why this Thai shrimp farm depends on AIRE-O2® aerators.
