The biogas plant AGRIVALOR ENERGIE
The project was initiated by 3 farmers from Alsace: René Van der Meijden, Philippe Meinrad and Noël Adam. It took place under the aegis of the Agrivalor Energie society.
The idea of constructing a methanization plant arose as a natural step in 2007, since the production of biogas was then incorporated into the long-term activities of the Agrivalor society, which specializes in the agronomic usage of organic matter (use of composting facilities and commercialization of organic fertilizers), the treatment of organic waste, and fuel wood (sale of chippings and pellets for boilers). The farmers looked after the project right from the formulation of the permission application dossier. They decided to assign EnviTec Biogas in 2009, since the proposed offer best met the expectations of the contracting party. As well as treating agricultural effluent – namely dung and liquid manure – the plant needed to be able to treat agricultural by-products, organic waste from the agricultural food sector, and bio-waste.
