Abbriata s.r.l.
ABBRIATA was founded in 1896 when the young and ambitious Giovanni Abbriata began manufacturing threshing machines in the town of Sezzè (today known as Sezzadio). The business was immediately successful and within a few years the threshing machines were known on the market for their high quality. In 1906, the Special threshing machine for stripping and shelling minute seeds received a prestigious award, the Diploma of Honour at the Milan Expo. Other important acknowledgements followed, including the diploma of honour with a gold medal awarded at the international expo of inventions and industrial projects of Turin in 1923. Over the next years the company’s range of products expanded with the production of fixed crop balers, to then arrive at a turning point for the company in the late 1950s, when they were the first in Italy to produce square balers. Today more than 80 of the company’s production is exported to more than 60 countries around the world.
