About Us
Founded in 2000 (TRE) and 1999 (ALTAMIRA), we bring together a multidisciplinary team with excellent knowledge of SAR and InSAR applications. Our core competence is radar imagery processing and we are the reference InSAR provider for NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), CSA (Canadian Space Agency), ESA (European Space Agency), JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), CNES (French Space Agency), DLR (German Centre for Aeronautics and Space) and the World Bank.
TRE ALTAMIRA is a CLS Group company with offices in Milan (Italy), Barcelona (Spain) and Vancouver (Canada).
Our commitment
First in creating the industry standard for advanced InSAR techniques, we continue investing in the development of technology to evolve its possibilities and offer our clients innovative, effective solutions to their monitoring needs. At TRE ALTAMIRA, we have optimized every part of the processing chain to quick deliver results, allowing our clients to take faster decisions.
Mission
We are dedicated to bringing satellite radar data down to Earth, making it a standard information source to monitor the activity of our restless planet. We are committed to being the leading provider of radar satellite monitoring services. To this end, we will continue to invent new ways to process, visualize and use multi-temporal data sets. We are committed to serving our clients, showing them how their areas of interest change overtime by providing reliable and timely information to mitigate risks, optimize operations and plan future activities.
Vision
Remote sensing data collected by satellite sensors provide a unique – though still largely unknown – information source about our past (thanks to historical archives of satellite imagery), our present (providing timely information on specific areas) and our future (time series analysis can allow the development of predictive models). It is time to utilize Earth observation data and their unique features to help understand the past, observe the present and shape our future.
Our processing infrastructure
An in-house processing Datacentre, designed to cope with the high demand of processing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery. The architecture consists of a Linux-based parallel processing system, made up of approximately 100 servers and 276 cores for data processing and 10 CPUs for interactive session management. The system has also a storage capacity of 200 TByte accessed via a high-performance parallel file system.
Work for us
We are always looking for enthusiastic and talented people to join our expanding teams in Milan, Barcelona and Vancouver. Even when no open positions are available, we are interested in receiving submissions from experienced workers and graduates alike. If you think you can add value to our company, please send us your details, along with your CV.
