This research institute on industrial biology is managed by Professor Philippe Thonart and was created in 1988 by: The Agricultural University of Gembloux (Fsagx – Gembloux, Belgium) – Bioindustries Unit. The Liege University (ULg – Liege, Belgium) – Microbial Technology Unit.
