About Us
There can hardly be a sector or industry where Dinxperlo products are not used in one form or another. In some cases visibly, e.g. as decorative mesh, or for sorting sand, gravel and ores, for which spring-steel mesh is ideally suited. In other cases fine wire cloth made of stainless steel can be used in filter systems, e.g. in laboratories and the plastics industry. Filter mesh is used a good deal in the chemical industry, and for cleaning drilling muds.
Screen printers use fine wire cloth for precision printing, and it is used in the aviation and automotive industries e.g. to keep hydraulic fluid free of contaminants. Wire cloth plays an important part in our day-to-day lives, for instance in the treatment of drinking water. Mesh is often used in homes for door and window screens, and Dinxperlo tea strainers and sieves can be found in many a kitchen.
STURDY, SOLID AND DEPENDABLE
Dinxperlo mainly produces fabricated items such as woven and spot-welded stainless steel products for technical applications. We also manufacture screen mesh in various metals as well as synthetic fibres. Over half our output is exported all over the world, from the United States to Dubai, from Singapore to Peru.
Many types of mesh and cloth can be supplied on the roll from stock, and other kinds can be woven to order. Before products leave our warehouse they are subjected to final checks, including using visual analysis equipment. We take pride, however, in the expertise and practical experience on the shop floor that provide the foundation for our high quality. The description ‘solid and reliable’ applies not only to our products but also to our partnership with our customers.
At Dinxperlo we pay close attention to our customers’ individual requirements, working together with them to solve specific problems and/or find solutions for particular applications, drawing on our extensive experience with a broad customer base. Today it may be an electrical engineer, tomorrow a brewer. Dinxperlo Wire Weaving Co. for expert advice!
The Correct Product On Time
Our wide variety of meshes, cloths and sieves underlies the wide range of our customer base. We are constantly looking for solutions to the many queries we receive. For over 85 years now Dinxperlo has been meeting the challenge successfully—thanks to specialist input from all our 130 staff.
Specializing in the manufacture of top-quality wire mesh and cloth, we find the best type or the best filter component for each application, enabling us to satisfy our customers all over the world with durable woven wire products, sieves and semi-manufactures for all sorts of applications. Whether we supply from stock or to order, we deliver the correct product on time.
Guaranteeing the quality of woven wire products is precision work. The material quality has to be selected in consultation with the customer, and the right tools and appropriate machines have to be used to provide the required tolerances. We are able to use any metal or alloy that can be produced in wire form.
Stainless steel, uncoated and galvanized iron and aluminium are commonly used, but wolfram and copper can also be woven. Our wire mill can supply metal wire in a wide range of diameters. Using hard metal or diamond dies, wires can be drawn with a diameter of 5.5mm down to 0.05mm and even thinner, which can then be soft annealed and supplied on various types of spools.
Thousands Of Woven Wire Products
Weaving wire mesh and cloth is Dinxperlo’s business—our ‘warp and weft’, as we say in Dutch (‘warp’ is the longitudinal wires and ‘weft’ the transverse wires). Our plant comprises an enormous variety of looms, ranging from those designed for ultrafine wire cloth with 1,300 hair-thin wires per centimetre to others for coarse mesh with an aperture size of e.g. 5cm and 3mm wire. Our many expert operators weave each specification on the appropriate machine. Thousands of combinations can be produced from the wide variety of metals, alloys, weaves and finenesses. Apart from electrically welded mesh, the most common weaves are plain, twill and plain Dutch.
Once woven, many types of wire mesh and cloth are subjected to one or more treatments to perfect them for the particular application. The material can be annealed, galvanized, rolled and flattened or given a synthetic coating. In many cases it is turned into a semi-manufacture in the form of disks, filter packages, panels or complete sieves in our finishing departments. With these treatments we are able to meet practically all our customers’ requirements.
