At Bradstreet Lawn & Garden we have been servicing the Greater Bangor area for well over 50 years and it is our philosophy to treat every customer fairly, educate them on our outdoor power equipment, and make sure they purchase the right piece of equipment for their outdoor needs.
We started out in 1961 as Bradstreet Fuel Co with the owners being Doug & Cynthia Sherburne. Reggie, their son, started working for them when he was in high school and is now the owner of the business. In 1974 Reggie and his wife Eileen decided to branch out into another market sector by taking on outdoor power equipment. During this time they offered Wheel Horse tractors and business was done from their garage at home until a new building was built on Wilson Street in Brewer.
The fuel business was sold in 2001 and the name was officially changed to Bradstreet Lawn & Garden.
The outdoor power equipment business continued to grow so in 1994 the business was once again expanded to bring on more brands such as Husqvarna, Echo, Toro, BSC, and Billy Goat to name a few. With the growth in business a new building was built in 2005 and the business was moved to the Industrial Plaza in Brewer.
Being a family run business, just like his father, Mike (Reggie and Eileen's son) joined the business and helps run the store today. In addition Mike’s wife, Stephanie joined the team and does the bookkeeping while managing the office.
To this day we are operating out of a 40'x 70' showroom full of outdoor power equipment, accessories, parts and our own service department. We have a large parking lot to offer ample parking and equipment pick-up and drop-off with ease.
We strive to treat you like family and we stock our showroom with outdoor power equipment to meet the needs of homeowners, landscapers and commercial contractors.
