The `Bugler` family business was founded in 1851 by Robert Bugler, trading as a wheelwright. Today the company continues to thrive & expand while serving the agricultural, amenity, groundcare & ATV Quad communities. Our continued policy is to offer market leading agricultural tractors & machinery at competitive prices, supported by excellent after sales services. Extensive stocks of spare parts & fully trained service engineers ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. This is achieved by focusing on major franchises such as New Holland, Merlo, Kuhn, Joskin, Keenan & Spearhead. Used tractors & equipment are also an important part of our agricultural machinery business, specialising in Ford & New Holland, used, nearly new & ex-contract tractors. In addition to the sale of new & used agricultural machinery, groundcare & ATV products we also specialise in the hire of tractors & specialist machinery such as slurry injection.
The 'Bugler' family business was formed over 150 years ago when Robert Bugler began trading as a wheelwright in Beaminster.
Since 1851, the business has continued to serve the agricultural community and today, under the management of John Bugler (Managing Director) and Ralph Bugler (Chairman) has 4 branches, employing over 30 people.
Francis Bugler Limited was incorporated as a Limited Company in 1948, and in 1985, was appointed as a Ford Tractor Main Dealer.
The company later became the New Holland dealer for the West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset area during the early 1990's.

Late 1999 saw the formation of 'Marston Tractors' at Marston Magna, near Yeovil in Somerset. This venture maintained the high level of service to the local farming community.
In 1998, Alan King joined the company as ATV Sales Manager.
This appointment was followed by the acquisition of the Kawasaki franchise for ATV's, Mule Utility Vehicles and Power Products & later as Kawasaki Leisure and Sports Quad Bike dealers.
The company has recently received awards for the highest sales of Kawasaki ATV's and Mules in the South of England.
During 2006 a dedicated branch trading as 'K4 Off-Road' was opened at Charminster, near Dorchester to handle the company's ATV and 'Off-Road' division.
To further enhance 'K4 Off-Road' we also have franchises with Suzuki, Bombardier, Logic and CDAX.

September 2008 finally saw Buglers relocate from it's original town site to a new purpose build site on the outskirts of the town. With the future in mind we now have ample space with a large workshop, excellent parts department and plenty of outside space for new and used machinery.
In March 2011 we welcomed John Lock who joined our sales team. John is local, living just ten minutes away from the depot. and has more than twelve years sales experience following his workshop apprenticeship at 'Gibbs of Crewkenne'.
