At no other time in Conley's history has such a wide variety and style of greenhouse structures been available for growers to choose from. In as much as Conley's greenhouses are found throughout North America and employed by many of the most influential leaders of our industry, we recognize the success of our future lies in meeting the needs of individual growers, specifically you!
Through The Years
In 1946, Conley's first greenhouse structures consisted of pre-welded angle iron trusses. The bulk of the product was supplied to local Southern California growers. In the early 1960's, Conley's began incorporating square tubing into its welded truss assemblies and its growth continued in steady measure. As demand for Conley's structures spread nationwide, they began looking for a more efficient means of producing and providing equipment to growers. Recognizing that shipping pre-welded trusses nationwide would be price prohibitive, Conley's began looking for alternative options. In the early 1970's Conley's began experimenting with 'hat sections' fabricated with standard press-brake equipment. The success of the 'hat section' proved to be far greater than anyone could have imagined. This style of bolt-together truss offered multiple advantages including increased strength, reduced shipping costs, and built-in amenities such as condensate control.
In 1974, Conley's purchased its first ROLL-FORM mill, the YODER 16. This manufacturing tool made it possible for Conley's to produce 'hat-section' trusses using continuous coils of steel, further streamlining the manufacturing process. The response from growers to this new technology was phenomenal, further fueling Conley's expansion throughout North America. Currently, Conley's requires six ROLL-FORM mills to keep up with manufacturing demands. With its main manufacturing plant located on a 6-acre parcel in Montclair, California, Conley's Manufacturing has evolved into a world-recognized supplier of quality greenhouse structures and related equipment.
Conley's maintains its own outside building department with crews traveling literally all over the world. As building contractors, Conley's offers a firsthand perspective of what's required in constructing a greenhouse. Independent builders appreciate Conley's greenhouse due to the high degree of prefabrication built into every structure produced. Whether it's ready to hang pre-assembled doors, or pre-punched and precut truss assemblies, growers appreciate the forethought put into Conley's design. The unique style of manufacturing also provides Conley's with a great deal of flexibility in structural designs. As a result, Conley's products are utilized throughout the world in moderate as well as extreme weather conditions. This feature, combined with an uncompromising commitment to customer service, has helped to establish Conley's as one of the most recognized greenhouse manufacturers in all of North America.
