CORA SEEDS is an Italian company, whose members have over 25 years of experience in the area of vegetables professional seeds. The company is committed to the research, production and marketing of horticulture seeds varieties such as baby leaf, basil, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, fennel, melon, onion, pepper, plain parsley, processing tomato, fresh market tomato and watermelons.
Cora Seeds headquarter is in Cesena (FC), fatherland of vegetable seeds production in the world and where, ours greenhouses and trial station centre are used to carry out breeding, quality assessments and exhibitions of newly developed products. The development in genetics is achieved by a team of breeders who selects and defines new hybrids for the local and international market. This team of breeders works in collaboration with a biotechnologist who uses the latest biotechnology findings to genetically improve our products.
In order to guarantee seeds free from pathogens, CORA® SEEDS works with independent laboratories to test the pathogen resistance of our products and of the seeds imported from all over the world. In our laboratories, we constantly monitor quality by performing tests to study seeds germination. Moreover, in our experimental station, all our batches production are tested before marketing. The seed is stored in special cooling room where temperature levels and humidity levels are monitored to ensure the highest quality of our products.
Cora Seeds is equipped with the necessary machineries to complete the calibrating, coating and the packaging of the products distributed to the national and international markets. Our marketing network ensures the total coverage of the world key production areas. Our range of watermelons, baby leaves, basil, fennel, processing tomatoes, fresh market tomatoes, peppers, plain parsley and melons is intended for the producers of the horticultural products destined to the large-scale retail trade, markets and export.
The aim of our research and breeding is to breed hybrids that can ensure the best performance across the different production areas, for that conventional breeding is supported by innovative biotechnology. We make pathogenic tests in our fields and laboratories to screen the resistance level of our material against most important disease and we do that for each species.
To this extent, a program of experiments are carried out in Italy and abroad; in Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Serbia, Rumania, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries.
Together with partners and distributors we prepare trial fields and open days to examine and choose the products that best meet the local production requirements.
With the support of our research and our partners we covers a large range of hybrids: baby leaf, basil, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, fennel, melon, onion, pepper, plain parsley, processing tomato, fresh market tomato and watermelons.
