Soil Moisture Sensors - Irrometer Tensiometers
The IRROMETER Tensiometer is the standard in accurate soil moisture measurement, offering growers an inexpensive and reliable means of measuring soil moisture for irrigation scheduling. An IRROMETER will measure the actual soil water tension, which indicates the effort required by root systems to extract water from the soil. Because the IRROMETER is a true measurement of soil water potential, the instrument is not affected by salinity and does not require site calibration. The IRROMETER is available in several models, with standard lengths of 6", 12", 18", 24", 36", or 48" dependent on the rooting depth of the specific crop. Longer lengths are available by request.

Irrometer - Model SR Series - Tensiometer
Measuring soil moisture allows a grower to make informed irrigation scheduling decisions that will improve yields and quality while reducing water, fertilizer, labor, and energy costs. The IRROMETER SR measures soil moisture by interacting with the soil through a porous ceramic tip. As soil dries, it tries to pull water out of the instrument, creating vacuum measured by the gauge. This is a direct, physical measurement of the same tension plant roots ...

Reading Devices
Our IRROcloud IC-10®, WATERMARK Monitor, Handheld Meter, and IRROmesh solutions allow collection of data from sensors in the field. This collected data provides information about the soil moisture profile your irrigation practices have created, allowing for informed scheduling decisions. Data can be sent directly to the cloud, logged in the field for later collection, or manually collected with a meter.

Irrometer WaterMark - Model 900M - In-Field Data Logging Monitor System
The WATERMARK Monitor is our stand-alone data logger, providing users with a reliable, simple, and effective means of collecting information in the field. As well as recording data, the display on the Monitor and can be used to view readings at any time for spot checking conditions. The Monitor records soil moisture, soil temperature, irrigation on/off status, and rain gauge counts for an accurate record of the performance of your irrigation schedule. ...
