Founded in Lynden, Washington in 1935 by Ed Frith and my father, Simon L. Stremler, Farmers Equipment Company has grown to become a leader in sales and support of agricultural and industrial machinery for Northwest Washington and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. To better serve our customers in the Skagit Valley, we added our Burlington, Washington branch in 1982. From the beginning, our mission has been to meet our customers' requirements for quality machinery, parts and service the first time, every time, in a manner that contributes to the success of our customers and our company. When the business started in 1935, we became a dealer for McCormick-Deering, which was a division of International Harvester. Gradually, we came to stock all of International Harvester's agricultural lines, including Farmall tractors. With the merger of Case and International Harvester in 1985, we became the Case IH dealer for Northwest Washington.

As our economy has become more diverse, we have altered our product mix to meet the needs of our customers. That's why in addition to Case IH we are the dealer for Komastu forklifts, Korvan berry harvesters, Kobelco/New Holland construction equipment, and Bauer irrigation & slurry equipment. We also represent a number of very fine shorltines like Kuhn, Knight, Artsway, Fella and BE. The newest addition to our product mix is the McCormick line of tractors, a brand that was gradually phased out by IH in the 1950's, but which is now back under new ownership.
