As with all FarmGEM machinery and new design features, they are greatly influenced by the company`s directors, Terry Fixter - Managing Director, Cliff Buck - Sales and marketing Director, along with Brian Knight and Mike Would who have a vast wealth of sprayer design knowledge and experience. All FarmGEM machines are manufactures to our UK design and specification, and as with the former Gem sprayer range high quality, strength and ease of use, remain our priority.

Who are we?
The 3 directors of FarmGEM Ltd have a combined experience in excess of 90 years within the cropsprayer industry. They have seized the opportunity to form a new, specialist Company dedicated to supplying a superbly engineered range of crop sprayers through specialist distributers providing excellent products and service support.
They bring their considerable expertise of sprayer design and manufacture to create a new , technically advanced range of sprayers which combine the principles of quality and reliability normally only associated with the more expensive hand-built Gem and Knight machines.
Terry Fixter , Managing Director
Terry started his career within the crop protection industry in 1977 as a sprayer operator working for Ray Hewson Ltd, Spray Contractor. This business was acquired by Spraycare Ltd in 1979 and Terry transferred to the workshop first as a sprayer fitter, building and assembling specialist machines, before progressing to Field Service engineer.
He joined Gem Sprayers Ltd. in 1988 rising to the position of Production Director, responsible for all aspects of manufacture and service across the full range of Gem self-propelled, trailed and mounted machines.
Mike Would , Director
Mike served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship graduating with BSc (Hons) from Trent (Polytechnic) University in 1976. He joined L&K Sprayers Ltd as Production Manager in 1979, responsible for sprayer design and manufacture.
L&K were acquired by Econ Atkinson Ltd in 1984 and after a short period as General Manager decided to form his own sprayer company.
He founded Gem Sprayers Ltd in 1984, achieving wide acclaim in the crop protection industry, also winning a number of RASE awards in recognition of their success.
Gem Sprayers were acquired by Case IH in 1997 and Mike was Managing Director until 2003.
Brian Knight , Director
Brian trained as an agricultural engineer before joining the Knight family farming and contracting business. Designing and building machines for the contracting operation lead to the formation of Knight Farm Machinery ltd in 1984. It quickly expanded to become one of the largest crop sprayer manufacturers in the UK.
Brian’s expertise in crop sprayers is underlined by a number of worldwide patent licensing arrangements with multinational companies.
