Fibrebond
In 1982, businessman Claud Walker founded Fibrebond recognizing the potential of the emerging wireless communications industry’s need for strong, durable, aesthetic shelters to protect equipment. Just a few years’ later, the company’s growth required it to expand for a small site in Bossier City, La., to the current 180-acre site in Minden, La. At that point, Fibrebond focused on the development of panelized buildings to protect the emerging cellular telephone industry’s sensitive equipment. Since then, Fibrebond has grown into a sophisticated , cutting-edge manufacturer of concrete, steel and hybrid structures for the telecom, data center and power generation industries.

History
To provide telecom customers a more complete solution, Fibrebond began offering equipment installation services in 1991. In 1994, the company built an Installation Center to receive, warehouse and install customer equipment into Fibrebond shelters.
In September 1998, fire completely destroyed the Minden manufacturing plant. Fibrebond shifted production outdoors and to other facilities without employees missing a single paycheck or a customer delivery. In 11 months, a new plant opened with advanced European concrete processing equipment, ushering Fibrebond into a new era of diversification that allowed Fibrebond to produce innovative precast concrete products for buildings used in K-12 schools and correctional facilities.
Today, Fibrebond enclosures can be found in all 50 states and several foreign countries. We take great pride in playing a significant role in the build-out of the nation’s wireless telecommunications system, as well as our ability to develop complex solutions developed for the other industries we serve.
In 2014, Fibrebond completed the purchase of an 187,000 sf production facility adjacent to its longtime facility to create more than 500,000 sf of production space on 180 contiguous acres in Minden. The new production space allowed Fibrebond to pursue opportunities utilizing structural steel.
Further growth continued in 2015 when Fibrebond acquired the assets of a genset enclosure manufacturer in Edelstein, Illinois. Their experience included more than 33 years providing total integration of customers’ custom packaging and power generation needs.
Across all business units, Fibrebond’s commitment to customers remains the same. Click here to learn more about our mission and how we can meet your project requirements.
