Hammond Tractor Company was established in 1983 with Gary Hammond purchasing an eighty-year-old existing business. Since start up in 1983, Hammond Tractor Company's business strategy has focused on an aggressive sales growth and complete customer satisfaction. With three locations we have grown to become New England's largest farm, garden, commercial, golf and turf, and commercial chipper dealership.
Hammond Tractor is extremely proud of the customer service reputation it's sales, parts, and service departments have earned. The parts department stocks over 15,000 line items that represent well over a two million dollar investment, making minimal down town for customers. We use the latest technology available - JD Vision/Electronic Parts Catalogs - for prompt and efficient parts service. Hammond Tractor teamed with John Deere to provide our customers with one-day parts service on non-stocked parts that are not in our inventory. Hammond Tractor's number one commitment is unmatched customer product support.
Hammond Tractor's commitment to provide support is highly demonstrated in our three service sales centers. We have a service staff of over 30 full-time professionals with well over 300 years of equipment experience. Our technicians have the latest training available from our manufacturers. Our three modern 7000 square foot service centers are fully equipped with state-of-the-art specialty tools, pressure washing equipment, welding technology, and rolling-over head cranes.
Hammond Tractor's service fleet includes no less than twenty service vehicles including pick-up and delivery vehicles and trailers, lowbed tractors and trailers, and fully-equipped service trucks. Our service trucks have complete service equipment including generators, compressors, cranes, and welders.
Hammond Tractor Company has been a family owned and managed dealership since its beginning. Stockholders include Gary and Martha Hammond and a second generation David Hammond.
