Hortus srl has designed, implemented, installed and maintained its own automatic environmental data acquisition systems (HMS-Series), based on Campbell Scientific datalogger, building the best technical solution for the customer’s needs. Being aware of the importance of having available data in real time, particularly during environmental crisis, like floods or landslides reactivation, our systems are equipped with redundant transmission system (standard IP using GPRS,WI-FI and Ethernet network, radio UHF, satellite connection). For data management, Hortus has designed a web platform that allows access, display and analysis of data from active monitoring systems.

About Us
Our company was born at the end of the eighties and is skilled in the installation and management of monitoring system, especially regarding hydro-meteorological and geotecnical issues.
Furthermore, we are specialized in the production of custom software application, mainly for:
- data analysis, storage and publishing, in internet and intranet context
- B2B and B2C e-commerce

Our monitoring system is based on the usage of Campbell Scientifics dataloggers (particularly CR1000 and CR800 series). In order to transmit acquired data we use GPRS tecnologies, witch are very cheap.
We set-uplow-priced mini-stations for hydrometrical detection and we produce and install dectection station for high-altitudes.
We develop mobile application and web-sites for data analyzing and monitoring.
Hortus is settled at Legnano (MI).
Hortus srl has more than twenty-year experience in the production of customized software for data acquisition and management collected by monitoring networks. The project of the first multiprotocol data acquisition installed in 1987 following landslide event of Val Pola, Valtellina, Italy. Since 1999 Hortus has dealt with the design, implementation and management of the web platform, which is a recognized reference for the hydrological monitoring of the Italy’s northern region lakes.
