About us
Kruz Inc's history originates with manufacturing of dump and specialty trailers when in 1985, Kent Kruzick purchased Bobko Inc. in Michigan City, IN. Bobko was an established manufacturer of steel and aluminum dump trailers since 1967, and was a major supplier of specialty trailers to the steel mills for heavy duty hauling of slabs, coils, and grit. Bobko established a reputation for quality and innovative designs in the refuse industry for live floor and transfer trailers. In 1992 Bobko was merged with Galbreath Inc and continued the products under the nameplate of 'Galbreath'. In 1998 the Galbreath trailer division was sold to Ravens Inc and continued to produce the 'Terminator' and other steel dump trailers in the Knox facility. After Fontaine acquired Ravens in 2001, the decision was made by Fontaine to divest them of the dump trailer product. In February 2003 Kent Kruzick again purchased the Knox Plant and then January 2004 the 'Ravens' aluminum dump trailer product line was acquired from Fontaine and moved to Knox, IN. The names have changed but the one constant has been the quality, design and reputation of the craftsmen who build and design 'Kruz' and 'Ravens by Kruz' trailers. Heritage is not something that is taken lightly by Kruz. And the rich legacy that goes with names such as 'Ravens' or 'Terminator' is constantly being improved and expanded. 'Bobko', 'Galbreath', or 'Ravens' trailers have consistently carried a higher resell or trade in value for years. The reasons for this are obvious when compared to similar products. Kruz is not one of the high volume manufacturers but has concentrated on being a high value manufacturer. Our philosophy has been that 'quality will long be remembered after the sale is forgotten'. And we continue that tradition even in the changing times of the 21st century.
