In business for more than 25 years, Lexington Mower Service and Kannapolis Power Eqiupment carry top outdoor equipment brands and sell more Husqvarna equipment than any dealer on the East Coast. With stores in two locations, the company's factory trained service technicians have a combined 50 years of experience at each location. David Biesecker and Perry Crotts started Lexington Mower Service in a 500-square-foot shop in Davidson County in 1987, performing mower repairs and service. David’s father, Don Biesecker, who encouraged the two to start their own business, never worked at the mower shop but could be found there most days nonetheless. He enjoyed watching the business grow until his passing in 2009.
After being in the repair business for a year, Lexington Mower Service signed its first dealership agreement with Gilson in 1988 and began to sell equipment. By 1990, the expanding business built the first 3,200-square-foot phase of the current location at 555 Central Ave., Lexington.
In 2005, Perry retired and David became sole owner of the business, which now has 11 employees with factory certified trained technicians. The business is now housed in a 10,000-square-foot facility and is one of the largest outdoor power equipment dealers in the Carolinas.
In August of 2011, Lexington Mower opened its Kannapolis store in a 5,000-square-foot renovated building located at 202 N. Cannon Blvd. Below are some photos from the Grand Opening.
