History of Gael Force Marine Technology
Gael Force Group Ltd. aquired Mohn Aqua (UK) Ltd in Spring of 2016 with a plan to invest in product development, production, sales and servicing support of the Mohn Aqua product range; which includes underwater cameras, sensors and acoustic deterrent devices.
In the years preceding the acquisition, Mohn Aqua Group was formed early in 2011 after the aquaculture division of Bennex was purchased by two Norwegian companies - offshore ROV and diving services provider Mohn Drilling AS and ROV manufacturer Argus Remote Systems AS.
The Group consisted of 3 companies - Mohn Aqua Group AS and Mohn Aqua (Norge) AS in Norway and Mohn Aqua (UK) Ltd in the UK, with bases in Bergen, Norway and Forres, Scotland. We have historically operated in Chile and other key markets through carefully selected sales and service partners.
Prior to the company purchase, Bennex Aquaculture had been manufacturing cameras for aquaculture since 2004, with production in Scotland starting in 2006.
In 2008 the company moved to its bespoke headquarters in the Enterprise Park Forres, which remains as the production and R&D hub for Gael Force Marine Technology today.
In 2010, we launched the IQ SYSTEM, a system that combines wireless pan and tilt cameras with various water quality monitoring modules and control software.
Now known as Gael Force Marine Technology, the company continues to build on the 10+ years of experience and skills offered by the Forres-based workforce.
Gael Force Marine Technology (GFMT) is focussed on high quality management systems, with special emphasis on continuous product development and customer satisfaction.
GFMT has production engineers who have more than 20 years experience working in the industry. The standard of product you can expect from us is extremely high due to the years of experience the production team has. All equipment is built in-house to ensure every item which leave the doors has met requirements and our high standards.
All of our product undergo extensive and documented testing prior to leaving the factory. For example every one of our 400 series cameras undergoes a full 150m pressure test as well as a functionality test prior to being signed off.
If there is an issue with any of the products we supply, we will be more than happy to assist you in finding a solution.
Designed for Life
All Gael Force Marine Technology branded products have been designed by us using the very latest 3D modeling systems/software, where we also select materials which will give you the longest lasting life cycle of your product. Our engineers also design equipment that goes to full ocean depth (6000m +) so are well skilled at making equipment that keeps the water out. One off prototypes are produced from our 3D designs which are tested well beyond the expected limits that will be placed on our products during their normal life. Once design is approved by both parties we can arrange the design to be put into production and your order can be made.
Built to Last
Production consists of three high skilled and experienced engineers. With the mass of their knowledge they have acquired from working as Aircraft Engineers to Telecomms Engineers they can produce your product to an exceptially high finish.
We build our cameras, winches and control systems in house to maintain the high quality standards essential when producing subsea equipment. All equipment is built using a detailed procedure which is drawn up by production and R&D Engineers giving the the most up to date build detail. Productions main aim is to reproduce the best possible product every time, re-inforcing our high standard.
