Henry Hansen started Monroe Tractor with a simple, yet sound philosophy: take care of the customers and the business will grow. Or as he put it, “where courtesy dwells, service excels.” Since 1951, Monroe associates have prided themselves on professional and courteous product support. Their commitment keeps our customers up and running, and keeps them coming back to MT. Henry’s philosophy of strong service is the foundation of our mission.

In 1951 Henry Hansen and wife Dorothy said good-bye to farming and moved their family to Henrietta, NY to start a Case Agriculture Distributorship. With their hard work, long hours and attention to customer service, Monroe Tractor soon began to grow.
So much has changed for Monroe Tractor. We’ve gone from a small, 30 x 40 foot block structure in Henrietta, NY, to a statewide operation of 11 locations supporting construction and agricultural equipment across a wide range of industries. Throughout those 60 years of growth one thing that has remained constant is the foundation Henry built the company on – our commitment to our customers.

Henry Hansen just recently retired as chairman of the board and CEO. His daughter Janet Felosky is now Monroe Tractors new CEO/President. Janet’s son, Chris Felosky, is Corporate Secretary and oversees the companies product support as General Manager of Parts and Service and her daughter Laura Wilkas oversees marketing and advertising. Whether or not you’re related by blood, the employees are all apart of the Monroe Tractor family.
