OzScot Horticulture is a ‘wholesale only’ specialist in Australian Native & Exotic Plants tube stock.

John Ogilvie ‘Diploma of Horticulture and Certificate of Landscape Technology’ is the owner and manager, and has been responsible for it success from inception nearly 20 years ago.

The nursery is located in the eastern foothills of Perth at Wattle Grove, Western Australia.

John was originally sourced from Scotland by Mr Michael Begg, of at the time, Portsea Nursery & Flower Farm, in Victoria. He was brought to Australia to set up an indoor plant section to the nursery, which was then a major supplier of carnation flowers and cuttings to Australia and overseas.

After five years at the nursery in Portsea, John and his Australian wife, decided to move about 3,500kms to Western Australia. It is from here that he decided to set up OzScot Horticulture.

John’s success can be attributed to his knowledge and determination. It is also due to his friendly nature and his team that he manages, and the fact that he treats his team like family.

The Western Australian climate and the magnificent range of native plants that Australia has to offer, inspired John to partly specialise in native plants, to which he also included a variety of exotic plants as well.

OzScot Horticulture has a large client base of retail nurseries that he supplies to, in both Western Australia, and other states as well.
