Pertanika policy prohibits an author from submitting the same manuscript for concurrent consideration by two or more publications. It prohibits as well publication of any manuscript that has already been published either in whole or substantial part elsewhere.
Pertanika is now over 33 years old; this accumulated knowledge has resulted inPertanika JTAS being indexed in SCOPUS (Elsevier), Thomson (ISI) Web of Knowledge [BIOSIS & CAB Abstracts], EBSCO, DOAJ, AGRICOLA, ERA, ISC, MyAIS and Rubriq.
The University Publication Committee (JKPEN) is the highest authority for implementing policies relating to any publications produced by the University. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (R&I) is the Chairperson of this committee. Other members include the representative from the publisher or UPM Press who acts as the Secretary to the committee, a representative from the Bursar's office, 2 senate representatives, the Chief Executive Editor, 9 editors-in-chief from all the UPM Journals, UPM R&D Cluster heads, 1 RMC representative, and a representative from UPM's legal division.
The Pertanika Journal Publication Working Committee takes care of the policies relating to the Pertanika Journal in particular. This committee is chaired by Dr. Nayan Deep S. Kanwal, Chief Executive Editor, Journal Division, UPM Press. It comprises of the 9 Editors-in-Chief from each of the 9 UPM Journals and a representative from the UPM Press.
TheEditorial Board ofPertanika has its own board members for each Journal. The Chairperson is the Editor-in-Chief of their respective journal. In addition, the Editorial Board comprises of members from each of the disciplines according to the scope of each journal, a Chief Executive Editor who also acts as the secretary to the board, and a representative from the UPM Press.
