Qila Energy is a British engineering company dedicated to developing renewable energy systems for farmers. We call these systems anaerobic digestion (AD) plants. We’re distinctly home-grown. The company is based right here in the UK and we understand the demands of agriculture in this country. This means that we’ve got the knowledge and expertise to be able to supply the right AD plants to best support and develop farming. We’re with you the whole way. We work closely with our farmers throughout the entire process, from initial grid connection through to operation and maintenance of the AD plant. We build all sizes including 200-250kWe, 499kWe, 1MWe and above, and Biomethane (gas to grid) AD plants.

What we believe in

Qila believes that generating productive energy shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet. There are alternatives to traditional methods of generating power, and we’re passionate about helping farmers to harness the power source that lies within their own farm.

Current government directives have highlighted the importance of developing renewable energy sources; with a focus on cutting greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste and harnessing natural, renewable power. Our anaerobic digestion plants provide energy solutions that help meet these goals.

What do we do?

We’re not a faceless corporation. In fact, our team include farming experts, feedstock and biogas engineers, civil, construction and process engineers and more. Simply put, we’re not afraid to get our hands dirty when it comes to helping farmers to make the most of the renewable energy available from waste generated on the farm.
