Radium Engineering is a renowned and reputable brand name in the agricultural sector that provide well-established products to their customers together with a remarkable service offering. We definitely make a difference.
Radium, like so many successful companies started from humble beginnings. In 1965 Johan Roest built a cattle scale on his farm near Radium in the then Northern Transvaal, now Limpopo province. This scale was highly successful and the result thereof was a basic but very successful operation focussing on the locals and neighbouring farmers' equipment needs.
This success culminated in the establishment of Radium Engineering in 1976. This name has become synonymous with outstanding quality, original design and reliability of their implements. Radium is now welcomed and accepted throughout the agricultural industry.
Under the guidance and supervision of Mike Roest, John Roest's son, Radium Engineering now employs in excess of 60 well-trained staff. Radium design, manufactures, markets and services a complete range of quality agricultural machinery through their wide-range production facilities in Babelegi, north of Pretoria. Radium now not only supplies to a wide-ranging dealer network throughout South Africa and neighbouring states, but to international markets as well.
HISTORY
In 1965 John Roest built a cattle scale on his farm near Radium in the Northern Transvaal to meet his specific requirements. Forethought in the construction facilitated uncomplicated and effective operation. Demand from neighbours resulted in the design being patented and units manufactured to initially satisfy local requirements.
By 1976 when Radium Engineering was established, the exceptional quality, innovative design and dependability of their implements was well recognized and accepted throughout the agricultural industry.
Under the leadership of John's son Mike Roest, Radium Engineering has gone from strength to strength and now employs in excess of 100 well trained staff, manufacturing and marketing a comprehensive range of quality agricultural machinery through their extensive production facilities in Babelegi, north of Pretoria.
An ongoing research and development program ensures that Radium products are at the forefront of current technology, both in new product design and in further development of existing models.
