For over forty years our goal has always been to offer our customers the finest power equipment at the most competitive prices and to perform the best service possible. Our experienced service technicians pride themselves on quick, accurate repairs and we warranty all the products we sell. We stock one of the largest parts inventories in the area.

Richardson Saw & Lawnmower has been serving the metroplex for over 50 years. The company began business operations in the mid 1960’s, a spinoff of the parent store located in Garland. My father, Ron, began as manager in 1976, then in 1980 became the managing partner and for both stores. In 1990, Garland Saw and Lawnmower was sold, and my father purchased the remaining stock in Richardson Saw & Lawnmower, becoming the sole owner.

I started working for my father at the store when I was about 10 years old, following him around learning the trade. On my summer breaks from, elementary, high school and college, I worked in the sales, parts, and make ready department. In 1998, I took an outside sales job in Tampa, Florida and was employed by Florida Outdoor Equipment. I sold Echo, Scag and Great Dane along with other supplies in the outdoor equipment retail business. I was awarded salesman of the year by the retail dealer association. One year later after working in Florida, my parents decided they wanted to retire and sell Richardson Saw and Lawnmower. I have been the owner since February 2000. 

Richardson Saw & Lawnmower employees about 20 people, 5 of which are OPE technicians all having trained to demonstrate both the knowledge and the skills to handle challenging service situations, including carburetor operation and service, failure analysis, and maintenance and service. Most of the staff (75%) have been employed with Richardson Saw & Lawnmower for over 12 years. We currently employee two Stihl Gold certified technicians, who are factory trained in the diagnosis of failure analysis of two cycle equipment. We are also a Master service dealer.
