swissRTec AG
swissRTec AG provides engineering, process equipment and plants to the international recycling industry. Based in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland but active worldwide, swissRTec is an industry leader for shredding, composite material recycling and recovery solutions. swissRTec is an expert in the design, manufacturing and commissioning of turnkey E-Waste and ASR recycling facilities. With references worldwide swissRTec has a proven track record of delivering successfully operating and profitable plants to its customers. Through the swissRTec approach valuable metal and other raw materials can be recovered and utilized in the production of new goods and materials. With its state-of-the art technology swissRTec has set a milestone in the field of composite material recycling. swissRTec has a cooperation with the Japanese company Kubota Environmental Services who produce the Kubota Vertical Shredder. This offers a robust pre-shredding step suitable for a variety of different material streams.

swissRTec Recycling Plants
The core capability of swissRTec is the shredding, delamination and separation of composite materials. swissRTec achieve this utilising unique technology and systems which are constantly being developed to ensure swissRTec remain on the cutting edge. swissRTec define composites as an object made up of more than one raw material. For example waste electronics contains a variety of composites such as wires, PCB, plugs, plastics etc. The swissRTec approach is to individualise and separate these composites enabling the recovery of valuable raw materials such as copper, aluminium, plastics and steel. swissRTec offer an optimal solution for the processing of waste electronics (WEEE), auto shredder residue (ASR), printed circuit boards (PCB) and many more.
swissRTec Delamination Mill
The Delamination Mill has been developed especially for the delamination and size reduction of brittle, hard and wear-intensive composites and other materials.
Function
The shredded input materials enter the Delamination Mill at the top. In the Delamination Mill very strong forces act on the materials; in doing so, positively connected parts are broken apart and material composites are delaminated at the phase boundaries. During the process the metals take on a globular shape which simplifies the downstream separation and results in a high output quality and yield. A size reduction also takes place during processing.
KUBOTA Vertical Shredder
The KUBOTA is a unique vertical type shredder capable of accepting various forms of waste and scrap. Employing continuous impacts, shearing, compression and frictional force create uniformly shredded products. With over 300 references operating the Kubota vertical shredder is a tried and tested technology. The Kubota Vertical Shredder is installed in 50% of the E-waste shredding plants in Japan equating to around 25 operational machines.
WEEE / E-Scrap
The implementation of the WEEE Directive and similar legislation was introduced to encourage the reuse, recycling and recovery of end-of-life electronic and electrical equipment. The directive covers the recycling of electrical and electronic items in a safe way which promotes the recovery of valuable raw materials which can be returned to the supply chain for the manufacture of new goods and materials. At swissRTec we design and build plants to optimize the recovery of raw materials in a responsible manner. Our systems focus on high recovery and yield to ensure the most favourable pay back on investment. Within this sector swissRTec have many references worldwide.
ASR/Fluff
During the car shredding process a light fraction is extracted. This light fraction contains textiles, organics, inerts, plastics and also a metal element from copper hair wires, steel, stainless steel, aluminium and more. swissRTec are able to recovery of the various aggregates as well as the valuable metal element from ASR. swissRTec have multiple references within this field.
