TORTELLA S.P.A.

Founded in 1949 by two brothers Donato and Michele they started manufacturing ploughs, seed drills and trailers, they also made a patented hydraulic press. In 1956 they introduced one of the first italian designed and built rotary cultivators. However it was in 1964 they produced their first spading machine as a result of local demand from farmers in the Abruzzo and adjoing regions. The geographical position of the company, in the middle of the country and their investment in design and engineering has enabled the company to build on this initial success and maintain its position as the market leader in its field today. Started by two brothers and run as a family business the company has continued to be run by the Tortella family and is today headed by Franco Tortella as President and his brother Carlo as General Manager.
