Trueman-Welters Tractor and Equipment
Welters was founded in 1936 by Leo and Dominic Welter in St Michael,MN. By the mid 1960's Dominic and Carl Welter decided to open another location - this one in Buffalo. They were joined in that venture by Paul Trueman, establishing Trueman-Welters. Today, the business is run by Carl's sons, Mark and Paul Welter. In the past the store sold mainly International Harvester. In the 90's they added the Ford, New Holland, Ski-Doo snowmobiles, and BRP/CanAm four wheeler lines. Since then they have also added the Seadoo line of pwc watercraft. The business has evolved from being strictly farm machines to having a large following in the small power equipment and powersports segments. Trueman Welters has been one of the top Cub Cadet dealers in the United States for the past 15 years, including being named the 2006 Retailer of the Year.
