West Central Equipment, LLC
The Slezak family relationship with John Deere Company began in 1938 when Fred J. Slezak started a dealership in the basement of a chicken coop in New Alexandria, Pennsylvania. He ran the dealership at that location on Lone Maple Farm until his retirement in 1960. His son Frederick A. Slezak became interested in a dealership again in 1976 and formed Lone Maple Sales & Service, Inc. which signed its first contract with John Deere in 1977 and opened at the current New Alexandria store location in 1978. Frederick’s son, David helped to open the location and worked at the dealership in the summers while attending Penn State University. After graduation, David started full time at the dealership in 1980 and managed Lone Maple Sales & Service, Inc.
