(WBS) specializes in consulting services to private and public entities requiring expertise in erosioncontrol, revegetation, ecological restoration, wetland delineations, and botanical surveys. About Us
Julie Etra, President and Founder, is a long standing member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) and currently sits on the Professional Development, Technology Section, and SOIL Fund Committees. She is Chair of the International Development Committee and is IECA’s Vice President for International Development. She is an on-going contributor to conference proceedings and has been published in Erosion Control, EC and Land and Water magazines. Articles focus on innovative soil restoration techniques and plant establishment. She has won numerous awards for project designs and contributions for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Washoe County, IECA, and IECA Iberoamerica.
Kris Kuyper, Associate, has ten years experience as an environmental consultant and nine years managing projects for nonprofit and government agencies. She has demonstrated success in proposal writing, project management and administration, field data collection and analysis, andreport production. In addition to ecological restoration projects, she has worked on water quality, low impact development, and energy efficiency projects. As a consultant, she planned, managed, and conducted botanical and wildlife field surveys (baseline, monitoring, special status species, noxious weed, and reclamation release) in Nevada and California. She has also prepared NEPA and CEQA documents, and “Waters of the U.S.” assessments. She has lived with her family in the Tahoe area for over twenty-five years and enjoys mountain biking and kayaking.
