5th Plant Genomics and Gene Editing Congress 2017
This leading Plant Genomics and Gene Editing networking event has moved from London to Amsterdam in 2017. As well as changing the location, the agenda has been completely remodelled in order to provide you and your peers with an outstanding learning and networking experience. For example, this year the programme incorporates round table discussions where, you, together with your peers, can debate the challenges and tease out the opportunities to be found in: the plant microbiome; sequencing workflow; and genomic selection to name but a few. In addition, there are extended panel discussions to allow you a more interactive exchange of ideas with the speakers across a range of topics. And for younger plant scientists, as well as opportunities to give poster presentations, the agenda includes early career researchers who will present on their work in a number of novel areas.

About Event
Plant research and its associated technologies have improved dramatically over the last 5 years as a result of the revolutionary breakthroughs in gene editing technologies and reductions in the cost of sequencing. Many plants have now been successfully sequenced and a wide range of biological data sets made available. As a result, plant scientists are now, more than ever, making use of state of the art technology platforms to help explain biological principals, advance research and confer benefits such as crop improvement / breeding etc. by harnessing the greater understanding of plant genomes.
Should you be either an expert already using gene editing, NGS, or other genomic technologies for plant analysis with a desire to extend your knowledge, or a researcher keen to invest in sequencing / omic technology and looking to learn which platform/technology best suits your requirements – the conference will provide an interactive networking forum to answer your queries through a vibrant exhibition room full of technology providers showcasing their technologies and other solutions, expert led case study presentations, interactive Q&A panel discussions, and two round-table sessions examining various topics through six separate tracks.
