The third edition of Agritech Expo Zambia took place from 14-16 April 2016 at the GART Research Centre in Chisamba. The event drew more than 17 500 visitors, over 165 local and international exhibitors. 3000 plus VIP and Commercial Farmers and 120 members of the press.
This included the Zambian President, H.E Mr Edgar Lungu, the Zambian and Czech Ministers of agriculture and numerous other dignitaries and agri experts.

Outreach Programme
Education is one of the most powerful instruments for reducing poverty and inequality and lays a foundation for sustained economic growth. With this in mind, the Agritech Outreach Programme was launched in 2015 and has committed to improving the learning environment for the learners at Golden Valley Basic located adjacent to where we host the Agritech Expo Zambia.
The self-sufficient farming school takes care of 600+ pupils between the ages of 7 and 14 with 17 teachers.

Together with the assistance of numerous event sponsors, the Outreach Programme was able to complete the first phase of the project that aimed to improve the safety and aesthetics of the existing school buildings, this included replacing windows and doors, repairing rooves, paint the school building and repairs to various sections of the structures.
The second phase included an upgrade of ablution facilities, installation of electric wiring, redoing the football pitch and assisting with the 2016 harvest by supplying seeds, agro-chemicals and the mechanical planting of maize on the school farm.
At present we are working on completing the plumbing works that includes: installation of plumbing accessories, garden taps and GI pipes.
