DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/05/10 -- AgriSolar Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: AGSO) announced today that it has recently received formal written test results from two separate studies conducted by independent organizations in late 2009. Each of the studies were designed to test the effectiveness of the Company's solar insect killing technology in a particular environment. The first test, which related to a rice crop, was conducted by the Chinese Government organization, Plant Protection Station of Hubei Province, one of the leading governmental organizations responsible for monitoring all commercial agriculture; forestry and natural resource vegetation. The second test, which related to an apple crop, was conducted by the Plant Protection Station of Shan'xi Province.
Both test results generally substantiate past tests results conducted during the previous 2 years by major universities and private organizations in China and South America. The test on an apple orchard in Shan'xi Province, which was conducted during a 30 day period, concluded that the density of harmful insects diminished by approximately 85% as a result of use of the Company's solar insect killing technology. The test on a rice crop in Hubei Province, which was conducted over a 90 day period, concluded that the need for chemical insecticides was reduced by 60%-70% as a result of use of the Company's solar insect killing technology.
'We are extremely excited to receive these formal reports from the governmental organization which is considered to be the primary authority in China on such matters,' said Liang Chao Wei, AgriSolar's Chief Executive Officer.
The Company believes these recent test results further confirm results from tests conducted by the Hong Kong Organic Certification Center during the past 12 months. Following completion of the tests in Hong Kong, AgriSolar Solutions received certification as a provider of insecticide products for farms to be certified Organic in China and Hong Kong.
The test results from the recent tests in Hubei and Shan'xi Provinces will be placed on the AgriSolar Solutions web site; www.agrisolarsolutions.com for public disclosure pursuant to SEC regulation FD. For comparison purposes, results from other earlier tests will also be posted on the web site.
Formal tests of the Company's solar insect killing technology are expected to begin in the United States during the next 30 days. Results from such tests will also be posted on the Company's web site as they become available.
