Pella, Iowa -- Mary Andringa, CEO and chair of the board for Vermeer Corporation, has accepted a key advocacy role for the Business-20 (B20), the G20’s most tenured outreach group comprised of business leaders from the world’s largest advanced and emerging economies.
The B20’s primary responsibility is to produce policy recommendations to the G20 that will advance the private sector globally. Andringa will specifically serve as a coordinating chair for the newly developed small- to medium-size enterprise and entrepreneurship taskforce.
“It is an honor to serve as the coordinating chair for one of the B20 taskforces,” said Andringa. “Small- and medium-size businesses are vital to economies around the world. Through my work with the National Association of Manufacturers and by participating in international trade trips with the Secretary of Commerce, there have been common themes among SME groups. My intent for the taskforce is to develop recommendations for a handful of key initiatives that can impact these important businesses in a meaningful way across the G20.”
