Bio gas plants. More efficiency using the QZ.

The production of bio gas from bio mass has become an important branch. Such bio mass consists of renewable raw materials or substrates from field fruit such as, for example, corn, potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, cereals, sun flowers or green offcuts.

By using the Querstromzerspaner QZ, the objective of producing energy in the form of methane gas can be pursued in a more forceful way.

The secret is mainly found in the processing of the used bio mass. It is broken up considerably better using the QZ and offers a much better “working surface” to the bacteria important for fermentation. As early as one minute after start of process, the surface is enlarged and homogenized and presents a very constant material structure. The so reduced stirring work results in an energy generation (efficiency) and a coherent methane yield raised by about 30 %. Generators produce electric current from the generated gas. This current is fed into the public mains supply. At operational capacities from 6 to 8 to/h, the energy expended on the preparation of the ingoing material and the charging of the plant is minimized while, at the same time, the fertilizing qualities are improved and fewer contaminants will reach the soil.

Retrofitting existing bio gas plants of a capacity of over 400 kW of electric output is feasible without a problem.
