The Agrievolution Alliance global coalition of agricultural equipment manufacturing organizations welcomes China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA) as its newest member. The alliance fosters collaborative action on industry issues, data exchange and public policy outreach.
The Agrievolution Alliance growth broadens its scope in key world regions, and it strengthens the alliance mission to advance agricultural interests worldwide and promote better understanding of how vital agriculture machinery is to sustain a growing world population.
The China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), located in Beijing, includes approximately 300 equipment manufacturing companies in its membership.
Since its formation two years ago, the Agrievolution Alliance has grown to 13 associations representing agriculture equipment manufacturers in Brazil, China, European Union, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Turkey, United States and United Kingdom.
“We anticipate continued membership growth as more organizations realize the value of a global industry voice,” stated Anita Sennett, director, agriculture product management for the North American-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). AEM serves as alliance secretariat.
“Our key message to the public and our government officials is the essential role of agricultural machinery to improved quality of life and economic gains: advances in mechanization provide the increased productivity and efficiencies that farmers around the world need to feed and clothe a growing world population,” Sennett stated.
Agrievolution Alliance activities include:
- Conducting global market-data surveys for members’ business planning and for public policy officials, business leaders and the general public to become more aware of the industry’s economic value
- Organizing Agrievolution Summits as world forums for top government officials, agricultural equipment manufacturers and other industry leaders to share knowledge and build relationships as they examine critical issues of global agriculture
- Supporting industry efforts such as the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF) that advance industry standardization efforts that promote efficiency and productivity
