Source: 3BL Media
GoodGuide has published rankings of cell phones that rate individual models and manufacturers, based on health, environment, and social attributes. The rankings, based on 150 factors rolled up into a single number that combines both product and company scores, placed Nokia at the top, followed by phones from Samsung, Motorola, Palm, and Sony Ericsson. Apple’s iPhones are listed in the middle of the list. The new category joins others already ranked by Good Guide, including cleaning products, food items, personal care products, and home appliances.
This year’s annual Carbon Salary Survey, conducted by Acre Resources, sustainability recruitment specialists, and Acona, a corporate responsibility consultancy, confirms that the green job market continues to grow. Results for 2010 show that the average North American salary for corporate green employment is $104,095, an increase of over $4,100 or 4 percent since 2009. The overall US job market saw an average salary increase of 2.4 percent. The global average green salary rose to $79,000, an increase of over $3,000 on last year’s results.
