The latest project has been introduced in St. Hjøllund Plantage in central Jutland.
Vejle Skov og Landscab (Vejle Forest and Landscape) aim to establish a solution to avoid or reduce the amount of forest fences.
Sections of permanent and temporary steel wire fences along with electric fence systems will be erected around small sections of recently planted tree species such as Rowan, Oak, Birch, Beech. Larch and other tree species to research the effect of damage by deer, determine the most effective means of protecting new tree species at vulnerable stages of growth and identify the most effective way to reduce fencing to a minimum to avoid injury to deer and other animals.
The Guide Syndicate have been assigned to implement the fencing.
